The background wallpaper for The Temple Tour of Israel is an image of the stones of the Western Wall in Jerusalem. From the face of these ancient stones we draw the modern pictures of our travels.
The horizontal rules which punctuate and lend order to our experience are an image of Mount Sinai. Scanned for our Temple Archives from an actual stone from Sinai's peak. Sinai stone carries within it a unique signature. Each stone is filled with bursts of "magnesium flowers" creating a repeating pattern in the image of a "tree of life". I have always felt the wonder of this simple geological formation. Even the rocks of Mount Sinai are filled with holiness.
